At the forefront of tackling systemic inequities and uplifting marginalized communities in Greater New Orleans stands Talitha Cumi Missions (TCM), an inspiring 501(c)(3) nonprofit. With a broad, macro commitment to all homeless women and mothers in crisis — and a sharp, intentional focus on serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) — TCM drives lasting change through innovative solutions. Its approach features a groundbreaking Systems Alignment Intervention called the ‘Bridge to Healing,’ which weaves together vital services like healthcare, housing, and social support into one holistic, community-led model.

Central to the mission is the vision of integrated healthcare and re-imagining a designated site as a permanent supportive housing mixed-use facility. This initiative aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for those in need, offering a lifeline to individuals facing homelessness and crisis situations. By incorporating core services, changing policies, developing community partnerships, and a robust funding strategy, TCM is paving the way for transformative impact in the lives of BIPOC women and their children. By building bridges to healing and advocating for the most vulnerable among us, we move closer to a more just and equitable society for all.
